With the COVID-19 crisis dragging on and new strains of the novel coronavirus popping up in the United States, health care providers are getting dispirited, according to a poll conducted by Morning Consult. It found that nearly half of health workers questioned said their mental health had suffered during the pandemic. In the same poll, 90% of health care workers say the pandemic isn’t over—and about a third said the worst of the pandemic is still to come. About a quarter have considered quitting altogether.
