Demand for oxygen to treat COVID-19 patients is putting pressure on portable oxygen cylinders and concentrators, including those usually destined for home use. Part of the issue is that high-flow oxygen treatment popular with hospitals uses far more oxygen than ventilation. The Center for Health Security at Johns Hopkins has laid out a fact sheet with recommendations, including possibly increasing the supply of POCs, cylinders and related supplies. Read it here.
