EXETER, Penn. (October 2, 2017)—Pride Mobility Products is pleased to support HME/DME providers with a 10 percent price reduction on power lift recliners in the fourth quarter of 2017, to address competition from non-industry channels.

HME/DME providers face increasing competition from outside industry channels—and Pride is striving to help. As the baby boomer population ages, 76 million strong, every retail channel seeks to remain relevant to this affluent consumer segment, offering products that appeal to their changing preferences and needs. One example of the impact of this movement is the significant increased interest in the Power Lift & Recline category. From e-commerce to mass-merchants to discount stores to furniture stores, everyone wants to leverage a piece of this ever-important opportunity. Never has the Power Lift & Recline chair category been more competitive than it is today, making it increasingly difficult for our HME/DME retailers to compete.

In understanding the importance of the fourth quarter to the provider community—the height of seasonal PLR sales—Pride is taking unprecedented action to support providers. For the entire fourth quarter—October 1, 2017, through December 31, 2017—we’re extending a 10 percent cost reduction on all Pride branded, Quick-Ship Power Lift Recliners. (Special order/builder option upcharges remain unchanged.)

“Our provider community has been supporting Pride and our family of products since our beginnings in PLRs in 1986,” says Micah Swick, national sales director. “It’s always been a partnership. This is one more way we can support our providers.”
