BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (June 16, 2021)—IntellaTriage, a provider of after-hours nurse-based triage and telehealth solutions, announced the addition of Gio Pagano as vice president of sales. In this role, Pagano will provide leadership, direction and resource stewardship to the overall sales function at the company, helping to expand operations and support for hospice and home health providers across the U.S.

Pagano brings 15 years of experience in the post-acute care industry, with 13 of those years dedicated to the homecare and hospice space. Prior to joining IntellaTriage, Pagano worked with Quality in Real Time (QIRT) and McBee Associates, building extensive relationships with key industry stakeholders and honing his deep industry knowledge and strategic expertise.

“I am thrilled to join the IntellaTriage team in its mission to improve the patient experience, reduce nurse burnout and boost financial performance for home health and hospice providers,” Pagano said. “Health problems are not restricted to a 9-to-5 workday, and I believe IntellaTriage’s services will be crucial for patients, caregivers and providers for years to come. I’m honored to have the opportunity to make such a strong impact in the industry.”

Founded in 2008 to address a significant unmet need in hospice and home health providers, IntellaTriage leverages the largest team of registered nurses to provide compassionate, round-the-clock care and telehealth services 365 days a year. IntellaTriage uses a tailored approach for each client, offering agencies and caregivers a direct line to trained nurses who operate above and beyond the traditional answering service. For instance, triage nurses can handle up to 80% of hospice caller needs, such as medication refills, symptom management guidance and more. IntellaTriage has seen more than 250% growth over the last five years in response to industry demand for its tech-enabled services.

“Nurse burnout and turnover rates are at an all-time high and hospice and home health providers have an acute need to solve these challenges as soon as possible,” said IntellaTriage CEO Daniel Reese. “Gio’s arrival couldn’t have come at a better time. His insight and passion for this industry will make him an invaluable resource to drive IntellaTriage forward in expanding services and support for more organizations facing these challenges.”
