ST. PETERSBURG, Florida and ATLANTA, Georgia (June 5, 2019)—Technology company Synzi’s virtual care and patient engagement platform won the “Best Patient Relationship Management Solution” category in the 2019 MedTech Breakthrough awards.

Brightree’s Home Health and Hospice Electronic Medical Record (EMR) was also a winner, in the “Best Overall Health Administration Software” category.

“This (award) is a strong testament for the entire company and we are thrilled to receive this prestigious industry recognition,” said Synzi CEO Lee Horner. “By leveraging our sophisticated communication platform that addresses patient preferences, healthcare organizations better deliver timely, quality care to patients.”

Synzi’s platform allows users to connect with everyday devices such as smartphones, tablets and personal computers; staff can use video-based virtual visits, email, text messaging, and secure messaging to communicate with patients. Messaging can also be translated.

Brightree’s Home Health and Hospice EMR combines a native iPad point-of-care app and cloud-based back-office software. Other features maximize documentary accuracy and compliance, including a user interface that lists the day’s most important tasks; secure messaging; pre-built customizable reports; and built-in rules and validations for bill accuracy.

“We are proud to receive this prestigious MedTech Breakthrough Award for a technology that helps thousands of home health and hospice agencies across the country serve their patients better and faster,” said Roman Pysmennyy, Brightree Home Health and Hospice product director.
