ST. PETERSBURG, Florida (August 29, 2019)—With a potentially dangerous storm approaching its home state of Florida, the virtual care company Synzi is offering all Florida home health agencies the free use of its automated messaging to contact their patients during Hurricane Dorian. Dorian is expected to become a major hurricane on Friday, Aug. 30, 2019, and remain dangerous through the Labor Day weekend, said the National Hurricane Center. Storm surges and dangerous winds were being forecast along the Florida peninsula.
Many Florida-based home health agencies were already sending out a notification message to their patients using the Synzi communication platform on Thursday.
