Waterloo, Iowa (June 15, 2020)—After a rigorous eight weeks of planning, Heartland At Home officially debuts today, June 15, as more than 1000 registrants begin VGM’s virtual conference.

The conference kicks off with a special keynote from VGM’s regulatory and payer relations experts, Mark Higley, Ronda Buhrmester, Craig Douglas and John Gallagher, where they’ll speak on the topic “HME in the Post-Pandemic Era: Analysis & Commentary.”

“We’re excited to kick the conference off with such a timely session,” said Jill Blaser, design and development manager with VGM Education and Heartland education chair. “This team has been busy providing essential advice and resources during the pandemic and will give a riveting update on how it affects the HME industry moving forward.”

Heartland At Home features five tracks dedicated to billing and reimbursement, rehab, business operations and leadership, respiratory and accessibility. One day during each of the four weeks will feature a session from the five tracks, and attendees that complete the sessions are eligible for contact hours and CEUs. Along with the five dedicated tracks, Heartland At Home will also feature special sessions including “Change Management: Handling Changes Within the Organization as an Industry Leader” by Wes Wheeler, president of UPS Healthcare, and “The New World: Seizing Opportunity in a World of Disruption” with VGM’s CEO, Mike Mallaro.

“Each of our sessions is slated for 60 minutes and includes course materials and the same opportunity to interact with the presenters through chat features,” stated Kelly Kopriva, event coordinator with VGM and Heartland planning committee member. “Registration is still open for those that are interested, and the process is as simple as visiting our agenda page and selecting the courses you’re interested in—think a la carte. We also encourage businesses to share the opportunity with their entire staff.”

Registration is open through the entirety of the four-week virtual conference and available at no cost to VGM members. Stay up to date on all Heartland At Home developments by following VGM Heartland Conference on Facebook and vgmheartland.com/agenda. Questions can be directed to (877) 484-6901.
