PHILADELPHIA (July 22, 2020)—BAYADA Home Health Care, a nonprofit provider of in-home health care and support services, announced today that six of its home health offices were recognized for excellence in client satisfaction with SHPBest Awards from Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP), while four of BAYADA's hospice offices were honored with Hospice Honors awards in the HEALTHCAREfirst by ResMed 2020 Hospice CAHPS Honors Awards program.

The annual SHPBest program was created to acknowledge home health agencies that consistently provide high-quality service to their patients, while Hospice Honors acknowledges high performing agencies by analyzing performance of Hospice Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS) quality measures.

"We are honored to be recognized for our high-quality client care by two respected industry organizations," said BAYADA CEO David Baiada. "This recognition reaffirms our mission to provide compassionate care, and I am especially filled with gratitude toward our hard-working employees and clinicians, and their dedication to our valued clients who have entrusted us with care in their homes."

SHP has the largest benchmark for Home Health Care Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (HHCAHPS) in the nation. SHPBest award recipients are determined by ranking the overall score for all SHP HHCAHPS clients.

MUSC Health at Home by BAYADA, one of BAYADA's joint ventures announced in 2017 based in Conway, South Carolina, received the Premier Performer Award from SHP for ranking in the top 5% of all SHP clients, while the following home health offices received the Superior Performer Award for ranking in the top 20% of all SHP clients:

  • BAYADA Home Health Care - Berks County in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania
  • BAYADA Home Health Care - Gastonia, North Carolina
  • BAYADA Home Health Care - Maui in Wailuku, Hawaii
  • BAYADA Home Health Care - Rock Hill, South Carolina
  • BAYADA Home Health Care - Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, in Pittston, Pennsylvania

The Hospice Honors awards are an exclusive recognition for hospices that have selected HEALTHCAREfirst as their hospice survey partner. This prestigious annual review recognizes agencies that continuously provide the highest level of quality care as measured from the patient and caregiver point of view. BAYADA Hospice in Concord, New Hampshire was a Hospice Honors Elite Award winner, and other Hospice Honors awardees from BAYADA included:

  • BAYADA Hospice - Boyertown, Pennsylvania
  • BAYADA Hospice - Media, Pennsylvania
  • BAYADA Hospice - Warminster, Pennsylvania
