WATERLOO, Iowa (March 13, 2020)—VGM has announced the schedule for its annual Heartland Conference, which takes place June 15–17, 2020.

VGM’s Heartland Conference, now in its 19th year, is a two-day conference and networking event. It offers education related to the HME industry in areas such as respiratory, rehab, marketing, accessibility, compliance, business leadership, people strategy, and more.

“The Heartland 2020 schedule has some great new additions this year,” said Jill Blaser, design and development manager at VGM Education, who oversees Heartland’s educational offerings. “We’re always looking for ways to make Heartland an even more valuable experience for each attendee—from the educational sessions to the social and networking events.”

Sessions were handpicked based on their strength in addressing the challenges HME professionals face today. This year boasts more than 70 such presentations led by industry experts. Attendees can also attend panel discussions and register for home modifications installer training and wheelchair repair tech training sessions held over the course of the conference.

“Heartland attendees are extremely engaged in their industries, and they’re looking for a back-and-forth dialog that discusses various perspectives,” said Blaser. “With our lineup of engaging sessions, 2020 is sure to exceed expectations.”

Among the robust line up of experts is President of UPS Healthcare, Wes Wheeler. Formerly the CEO of Marken, Wheeler will share his experience in executive leadership during his session, Change Management: Handling Changes Within the Organization as an Industry Leader.

To further expand the peer-to-peer learning opportunities, Heartland will again feature a number of social events including community dinners. Another update to this year’s agenda is the inclusion of pre-conference sessions with registration. All attendees are encouraged to join the June 15 events.

“Heartland is a reminder of what we can accomplish as a community when we keep growing and diversifying,” Blaser concluded.
