SPARTANBURG, S.C. (February 19, 2020)—QS/1, a pharmacy operating system provider and innovator, is proud to be once again a major sponsor of the Pharmacy Development Services (PDS) Super-Conference, Feb. 27-29. This annual event keeps the needs of independent pharmacists and their staff at the forefront of the conference and the experiences it offers.

“QS/1 knows the value of the information shared at the PDS Super-Conference,” said Ed Vess, R.Ph., director of pharmacy affairs for QS/1. “That’s why we have planned several engagements at this important event to listen, offer solutions and ensure independent pharmacists have a voice at the table.”

Back by popular demand, QS/1 is hosting a Breakfast Breakout Session on the final day of the conference, Feb. 29. ComputerTalk’s Maggie Lockwood will moderate the panel discussion with pharmacists who are recognized as national leaders in pharmacy innovation and practices. The panel includes community-pharmacy owners Jason Turner, Pharm. D., R.Ph., who has embraced Medicare Star Ratings and used a prescription synchronization program to take his pharmacy to the next level and John Pugh, Pharm. D., R.Ph., who quickly discovered that with the Community Pharmacy Enhanced Services Network, there is truly strength in numbers that can help community pharmacies leverage their unique offerings. As a champion for the “Flip the Pharmacy” movement, Ed Vess will also participate in the panel.

“The session will provide a dynamic platform for gathering independent pharmacists in one room and having an open dialogue to share ideas and learn from others,” Vess added. “Being an industry leader, QS/1 realizes our role in sparking these conversations to help the industry grow and get stronger.”

QS/1 will continue to honor community pharmacists who give so much to their patients and neighbors with its ongoing charitable giveaway program, which launched in 2018. Attendees who visit QS/1’s booth #115 can scan their badge for a chance to win a $1,500 donation to the charity of their choice.
